MILWAUKEE, WI- In a surprise twist, it was announced that the 2021 Wisconsin State Fair will go virtual this year. Just days after it was announced that Summerfest had been moved to September, the board for the State Fair announced it was going to go virtual to keep Wisconsin safe this summer. They are urging people to celebrate the fair from home by frying up random foods, dressing trashy, and blasting live versions of washed up 80’s music. The fair will also be offering at safer at home kits which will include cream puffs, manure scented candles, cream puffs, and a kit to make your own Saz’s sampler platter. While the Fair can’t ship beer to your house, they are insisting that you over drink, spill beer throughout the house, and treat your bathroom as a Porta Potty.
“There just isn’t enough of the vaccine being rolled out fast enough for us to consider going on with the show” stated board member Jonathan Paul. “We will still be doing the drive up cream puffs as well as other products normally featured in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion.” Sadly, other fair favorites such as fighting at the midway, mullet counting, pig races, and the giant slide will unfortunately have to wait until 2022.
